6 Things Not To Do During Football Season!
Listen ladies, if you haven’t figured it out yet, it’s football season. There’s something about football season that I love. It could be listening to strangers talk about the game, looking forward to Monday night football or Thursday night football happy hours, or memories of watching the game on Sundays with my dad and becoming familiar with the plays. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but this season brings a sense of camaraderie to the community and I would go as far as saying to the nation. I find that people are a lot friendlier and relaxed during this time. It could have everything to do with the change in temperature and the approach of the Holiday season, who knows. However, some of you dread this time of the year because you get no play from your man. Thankfully, my husband’s sport of choice is boxing. For those of you who do have die-hard football fans, here are few tips:
Don’t plan date night on a Monday night or Thursday night unless you are going to a sports bar and there’s access to the game. Leave Monday and Thursday nights for shopping or nights with the girls. While your man is doing him, you may as well do you.
Don’t you dare try to plan anything for Sunday. No beach day, picnics at the park, or Sunday dinner at your parents house. It’s football all day. You’ll be lucky if you get him to go to church. If you do, it has to be the early service, otherwise you’re cutting into game time. However, I would advise you to use this as leverage. Agree to give him the entire Sunday to watch football without you tripping, in exchange for him agreeing to go or do something you’ve been wanting to do.
